It's about 4:30 am, and I find myself unable to go back to sleep.
I woke up a 1/2 hour ago because one of the cats had a hairball and was "kutzing" about 2 feet away from where I was sleeping. No biggie, I head to the kitchen for paper towels to clean it up. And then I get freaked out: THERE WAS A BAT FLYING AROUND THE HOUSE!!
OK, I can only deal with one emergency at a time. So I woke Frank up and hid in the bedroom while he practiced "catch and release." Then I was able to clean up after the cat and try to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, but now I'm very hungry and can't sleep. ***sigh*** So here I sit regaling you all with my tale and eating some tomatoes from the garden. I'd be getting up in another hour anyway, but it sure would have been nice to spend it sleeping.
