It is rare that a music career can be fashioned by angry autobiographies. Occasionally an artist will score with an anger song (Edwin Starr's "War" comes to mind) and a lot of anger is found in Heavy Metal, but the rarity is that it is seldom couched in a "pop hook;" that is, a catchy melody. But somehow Eminem, when edited, makes his way into the pop circle. He's interesting, to say the least.

Anyway, here's the Eminem Top 12:

12..."Like Toy Soldiers" (2005)
11..."Forgot About Dre" Dr. Dre f/.... (2000)
10..."Superman" (2003)
9...."Sing For the Moment" (2003)
8...."Mockingbird" (2005)
7...."When I'm Gone" (2005)
6...."Shake That" ...f/Nate Dogg (2006)
5...."The Real Slim Shady" (2000)
4...."Cleanin' Out My Closet" (2002)
3...."Smack That" Akon f/...(currently #2/2006)
2...."Without Me" (2002)
1...."Lose Yourself (2002)

On a sad note, the music world learned of the sudden passing of Gerald Levert, famous for the 80's funk smash "Casanova," as well as "Thinkin Bout It," and "Taking Everything." As many fans know, Gerald Levert was the son of Eddie Levert, member of the legendary O'Jays. He even scored a minor hit with dad in 1992, "Baby Hold On To Me." He was just 40.
