Oh, Frickenstein.
I never watch the show, so I somehow managed to catch yet another 'fat suit' episode. This time with two random bimbos from 'Deal or No Deal'.
Not only were they predictably without any meaningful insights, but they whined the entire time, as if they hadn't volunteered for it in the first place.
Then, true to form, they had a breakdown at the end at how they were treated, stared at, etc. Of course the main problem with this is not only did they not look like actual human beings, fat or not, but they didn't act like it either; flinging themselves through obviously too narrow passages and stumbling around like drunken kids with pillows shoved in their shirts. Is it any wonder that people were pointing, staring and making comments???
Honestly, it had to be the worst one of these attempts yet. And what is it really attempting? Education? Not hardly. A quick jump in some cheap makeup isn't going to garner enough sympathy to even offset the damage done to size acceptance by it. Especially when you take two women important only for looks who aren't smart enough to look outside themselves. All the audience sees is two "pretty girls" going "ugly" for a day. And it is of course "ugly" because no attempt is made to treat their fat selves as possibly attractive, or HEAVEN FORBID, use an actual fat person who could not only be a better role model, but more accurately portray the situation.
SHEESH.
