I was interested to come across a very short piece in last week's Entertainment Weekly that showed visually how even for books where the heroine is fat, and even where in the book it's not a bad or shameful thing, they still have a thin woman on the front of the book.

Here's a link that shows the book covers that were featured in the piece.

I am in no way shocked that this is the case with the book covers (since I was not magically teleported into this world an hour ago)...but I am kind of encouraged and interested that a mainstream publication like EW would lift it up for attention.
