I recently returned from a two week vacation to Berlin, Germany. I went to meet my boyfriends parents, meet his friends, and just experience what Berlin is all about. I had a good time and thought that I would share some pictures.

The dreaded plane ride! Luckily, we only had to change planes once. The first flight was on a tiny plane that had 2 seats on one side and only one seat on the other side...I'm so glad that I had two seats, it was very necessary.

This is the house of my boyfriend's parents. It is a very nice house that was built in the 1930's. They bought it and renovated it. It is located in what is considered a suburb of Berlin and as you can see, it's very green in that area. I was nervous about meeting his parents because they have had problems with his choice in women in the past, however, they did invite us to stay with them. It actually went pretty well. They might not understand why he has a preference for fat women but they respect his right to choose who he wants to be with and they accept that. His mom even said that we could stay there anytime. They were very hospitable and his mom made some nice Germany meals for me to sample. :)

This is such a funny looking car but is very popular in Germany because parking is so limited and this car could get into just about every spot. It's a Smart car but I call it clown car. I was just waiting for 10 clowns to come crawling out of it. :D

The infamous Brandenburg Gate.

This picture was taken in a little market area...there are so many of these in Berlin.
