Hi guys,
I had a GREAT visit from my little brother on Saturday. He is 5 years old and the best lil guy ever. We went to a local place (sort of like a Denny's or Friendly's) for dinner, and he said something that broke my heart. I don't even know what we were talking about, and he said "I know I'm fat"...

He IS a really chunky little guy, no denying that. But of course my first instinct was to say "No you're not!!" but then I thought-well, that's a dumb thing to say and not at all helpful.

What I ended up saying was "I know what it's like to be big, too. And you're perfect how you are, but if you want to get smaller, have only one snack a day and make sure you go outside and play for a while everyday"..his Mom told him that he would slim out when he gets taller, too.

I just felt so bad for the kid, and I want him to know that he IS perfect how he is..but I also know what it's like to be a fat kid....

I know I'm rambling and I have no idea if I'm making any sense..but if anyone is getting any this, I'd love some suggestions or feedback...
