Hi
This from an article from 1992 by Gina Kolata (NY Times writer). It comments on the regular Fat Acceptance topics like the differences experienced by the Genders in regards to fat. I view the article as being very inclusive because it often speaks about Fat People in general.
One section focuses on a NAAFA study that found that 25 % of Fat Males and 16% of Fat Females experienced violence because of their Fat. Honestly I thought that Fat Women would be the subjects of more Fat violence so I look at the survey samples that were used.
The sample of the survey consisted of only NAAFA members and 1/3 the males used were not fat and 1/5 of the females were not fat. I think that sample if anything this mixture would inflate importance of the answers of the Fat Females. So the percentage reported for fat males may even be low because the researcher herself stated that the higher the body weight the more likely a person was to report fat violence.
I have only seen this section of this article quoted once since 1992 and that was this year in a Blog.

I still think that Fat Women get more abuse, but why would the Fat Male experience skip straight to violence?
