The Olympics are currently highlighting athletic achievements. Which got me thinking, lots of fat folk are actually very strong and incredibly enduring. You may not see SSBBW in weight lifting events, but every time they get out a chair they are lifting hundreds of pounds. You may not see a SSBHM in the 1500 metres, but how fast would those athletes do a mile if they had to carry an extra three hundred pounds?
Even those of us who are not super-sized may well have some pretty good achievements in moving our weight around. One example from my life is that when I bike to work, there is one spot where there is a short, very steep, hill to climb. I frequently see people--thin people--get off their bikes and walk up that hill. I can power my way up at 220 pounds, which I think says something about the power I can generate on a bike.
So how about it, what things do you do that maybe most people wouldnt notice, but you think are actually real athletic achievements? Or to be silly with the wording, what fathletlic accomplishments do you have?
