Hello Everybody,
When someone started the thread on books that impacted their thinking I was impressed at the number of people who read Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Now by starting this thread I can talk about one of my favorite topic's with one of my favorite groups of people.
My Favorite recent Fantasy book that I liked was of course George R.R. Martin's A Feast for Crows. I was upset that this was really only half a book but I enjoyed reading Arya and Breane's story. I also liked the section on the suscession of The Seastone Chair.
The other Fantasy book that I like that I read fairly recently was OD Magic by Patricia McKillip. In a Genre filled with sprawling multi-volume series it is nice to read a poetic well crafted tale that ends in one slim book. I highly reccommend Patricia McKillip.
As far as Sci-Fi goes I am going to finish reading the third installment of the Dune Prequel series The Battle of Corrin. I keep reading and re-reading the original Dune. When you look at the situation in the middle east it reminds me how scary things can get when politics and religion ride in the same cart.
