I made it into BORDERS for the first time in months to do my media scan. The new knockoff attempt at BBW-the-Magazine is called FIGURE, and has an androgynous hockey star lounging menacingly on the cover. Hey I'm always up for edge in my pop culture
. It was in a plastic wrapper so no thumbing-thru ... brilliant marketing for a premiere issue but what the hell, these zines are a money pit anyway, right ? So the website has a link to the trailer of the new flick PHATGIRLZ... in which Mo'nique seems to have LOST:doh: 75lbs since her Beauty Contest of last year!!!! So what else is new ?!! Also there's a link to Igigi which has a nice plump brunette model .
