On Space Out
Well.
A few takeaways:
That "...nasty woman" bit is going to hurt Mr. Trump, badly. In any other debate, that'd be the headline... but it won't be.
The headline will be because Mr. Trump was trying to be too clever by half. What he was trying to accomplish was to turn his almost-certainly-inevitable concession speech into must-see television and an incredible marketing opportunity for his planned TV network, by hedging on whether he'd actually concede if he loses. It must have been irresistible. Unfortunately, he's not a politician, and doesn't really know, or apparently care, why democracy works. That's why he didn't understand that you just. do. not. do. that.
First, it's practically seditious on its face. Second, it calls every contest at every level into question -- including those that Republicans will or could win, and including those in Republican-controlled states -- with potentially severe adverse effects on Republican turnout. Third, it's yet another sign that he's completely unsuited to the Presidency, in this case because he's treating the election as merely a money-making and brand-building stunt.
Oh, and Sec. Clinton stomped all over him on the issues, too.
