OK, I think this is a goofy post for the foodee board, but...going for it anyhow!

I have a food processor that I got as a wedding shower gift in 1982. I never opened the box. (yeah, I know - it's older than some dimensions members. Scary!)

I have an ice cream maker that I bought for my (now ex) hubby in around 1995, and again, it is still in a sealed box.

Do you think there is a chance that these 2 items will be working if I take them out of the box and try? I suppose I could just *do* that, but I think I am looking for an excuse to buy new ones.

Anyone have experience or an opinion on this?
