The thread for Freudian slips made me think of this. Have you ever said something that you wish you hadn't? I had one about 6 or 7 years ago that I'll never forget. I was working in collections, and I had a woman on the phone & was going thru her financials with her. I asked her how much she spent on groceries a month, and she said about $800.00. I asked her if that was the right amount, and she said "Yes, I have 3 teenagers all over 300 lbs." So I said, "Well, I hope they're on the football team." She replied, rather coldly, "THEY'RE my daughters." There was dead silence, and I just went on to the next question. Talk about putting your foot in your mouth!!!
