Banned from facebook,
I was sad to hear tonight that Joe Frazier passed away from cancer. The TV news just announed his disease a few days again. At that time, they said he was in for the "fight of his life". Well, that was not to be. The fight of his life will be forever in history as the "Thrilla in Manilla" as he fought Muhammad Ali. This was his third fight for heavyweight champion of the world against Ali and many people say one of the best fights in history of boxing.

I confess that I love boxing. Old champions like Joe Frazier are few and far between during our lifetimes. He will be missed by his fans & students of the sport of boxing. Frazier also helped to advance integration by his gentlemanly ways at the same time he was a fierce fighter in the ring. Great example for all. Nobody messed with Joe (except maybe Ali).
