A real fun part of getting to know a new person is uncovering bits about their past, having him tell fantastic stories and put them into perspective.

Do you google the person and risk spoiling that? Reading about him on the screen is pretty unromantic as far as a way to find out about him.

I am dating a new fella and had resisted googling him until yesterday. Every thing there confirms stories he's told but to see video of him talking and all, demystifies things a bit. For example, I didn't know where he was born until yesterday. It doesn't matter in the least but I like being surprised when he tells me about himself. Reading the stories on Wikipedia is less fun.

if you're meeting someone that you only know online, googling them to see if they are for real, if they are who/what they claim to be, makes sense.
