Here is my comment:
I'm so incredibly disappointed by the comments posted with this article.
The high horses are VERY high when it comes to the opinions of people with additional weight. It's basically one of the last social stigmas that people deem acceptable when it comes to ridicule, unsolicited advice and downright bullying. You don't think that every overweight person knows the risks of carrying extra weight? Have you not clued into the vicious circle that the weight industry/health industry/media/world puts on heavier people?
The constant barrage of exercise programs and diets and surgery and reality tv programs? Give your head's a shake if you think there's some miracle solution to these problems. Food addiction is like any addiction and the last thing people need is to have a bunch of fingers poked in their face about it. How about have a little empathy? The biggest problem in the world these days? - asshole people that think they know everything about everyone.
Take it down a notch and be encouraging instead of being confrontational. You might actually help people instead of shame them.
"Food" for thought.
