BigBeautifulMe
That was a heart.
So it's almost time for Senior Ball - I have my date, but not my dress picked out.
My date at some point asked if I had any other color dresses other than the pink one he'd seen (Dress #1 below) - he said I looked fabulous in it, but since he bothered asking about the color at all, I'd like to try to find something different. Unfortunately, the dress that looks best on me, IMHO, other than that one, is my graduation dress (the second one). I really don't want to risk some drunk 18 year old spilling her cosmo on my graduation dress, though, esp. since it's white.
I have lots of other dresses at home, but I don't know which would fit and which wouldn't at this point - and I don't think my mom would be too receptive to mailing 5-10 dresses up here a month before we're going to have to bring them home again. lol
So I'm presenting to you my "virtual closet" - will you look at the pics/read the descriptions and tell me what you think? I desperately need a better choice, but finances prohibit buying a new one.
Okay, here are the options:
Dress #1 (The pink one he's seen, that I wore in NYC).
Dress #2 (The grad dress I love but am terrified of spilling things on).
Dress #3 (Sorry I don't have a pic of me in it, but suffice it to say it's WAY short [like, scared to sit down short], not really all that formal, and that the simple a-line is sort of like HIPS! HIPS RIGHT HERE!).
Dress #4 (Also a Zaftique dress, but I don't have any pictures of it. It's a black wrap dress, with a totally black floral lace back [lined w/nude mesh]. The fabric is thinnish and clingy. It tends to cling to the wrong places [ie, what I call my "underboobs"] but it doesn't cling ENOUGH to keep the "wrap" part up all the way. It likes to fall and show my bra. It could probably be pinned to keep it from doing that, though).
Dress #5 (This one is an old Catherine's purchase. It's a black long-sleeved velvet wrap dress. As I've gotten larger, it's gotten a little tighter, but I still consider it fairly flattering. It doesn't tend to fall, either. However, it IS quite a warm dress. It will be the end of April, and even here in MA, it's getting warmer. I'm concerned that with a zillion people in the place, it might get too hot for me.
Outfit #6 (I also have a slinky skirt and top that don't look bad. But they're conservative, and unexciting, and not formal).
So, as you can see, fatshionistas, I'm torn. Any advice you could give would be really helpful. I'm going to TRY to take pics of me in the remaining dresses this weekend, but I can't promise anything, as that involves a lot of legwork (walking 30 minutes downtown & 30 back to/from the ATM so I can wash a load & dryel a load), setup for the pictures, uploading the pictures, etc and I just don't know if I'll have the time with all the papers I have to write.
So - if you can offer advice given only the information you already have - I'll be really impressed. If you really think you need the pics to be able to tell, let me know, and I'll do my best. Thanks!
