I've had this same issue for years and wonder if any of you ladies can help. I belong to a choir and in the summer we do all outdoor concerts. The women are required to wear all white and I've never had any problems finding someone who will make me a snow white long sleeved ankle length dress. The problem is I can't seem to find the right slip for the dress. The slips they make now are made of that slippery nylon fabric. The seating on the stage consists of these rickety old narrow benches that they've had for years. I don't seem to have much difficulty staying on them during rehearsal in shorts and jeans, but when I'm in that dress it takes all my strength to stay on that seat without slipping to the floor. The slip is like being on a water slide.

This is a situation that affects everyone in the chorus but it's of particular concern to us bigger gals. Just to give you the dynamic of how grave the situation is, there are other plus sized woman who sing in our chorus. One such lady rides a scooter and during one concert she slipped right to the ground. She slipped to the ground and stayed there for the rest of the concert. It was awful.

And before anyone even mentions it, many requests for new seating on stage have gone up over the years so it's already been tried. I've got one more plan of activism in mind, but in the meantime there's got to be somebody out there who makes undergarments in cotton or non slippery material. Anyone have any leads?
