Ok, I've got 2 questions for ya. What's your fave brand of hot dog, and how do you normally prepare them?
I really like Nathan's, Sabrett (natural casings on both) and Hebrew National. There is another natural casings brand I really like, but I can't remember. Maybe Thumann's?
Of all the above, my fave is the Nathan's natural casing.
And I prepare them by slitting lengthwise (so they don't explode!) and broiling in my toaster oven till very crispy. Tho I would prefer to cook on a grill - that's not really practical most of the time.
