I'm sure there have been many threads about this, but I'm right at the beginning of the realization because I just found this board. If I'm beating a dead horse I apologise.
I've been a member of message boards before. We all have, I'm sure. Irrespective of the reasons that we sought out a group of people to connect with, we wound up here. You may be an FA, or an FFA, or a feeder, or you may be none of those things. But at the end of the day it is not those categorizations that keep you here. It is the bright and interesting people you meet. I feel lucky to have met them.
I feel like the reasons that I found Dims are somewhat meaningless, because I'm struck by how cool and smart and funny everyone is here. I feel at home here; I feel accepted here; I feel happy here.
How many times in your life can you say that?
PS: I'm sorry if this is dorky. Sometimes when I want to say nice things I'm not sure how to do so without sounding like a big douche bag.
