A friend sent me this today:
"When I had been married for 25 years, I told my wife, 'Honey, 25 years ago we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed, and watched a 10-inch black-and-white TV. But I got to sleep every night with a 25-year-old hottie. Today we have a nice house, nice car, king-sized bed, and an 80-inch plasma screen TV, But I'm sleeping with a 50-year-old woman. Seems to me you're not keeping up your end of things.'
My wife is a reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a 25-year-old hottie, and she would make absolutely sure I would once again live in a cheap apartment, drive a cheap car, sleep on a sofa bed, and watch a 10-inch black-and-white TV.
Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve your problems in a hurry."
I don't think anyone here would disagree that a lot of men judge women on the basis of age and appearance. But do you think it's equally true that women judge men on the basis of what they own?
