I was talking to a good friend of mine last night. He lives in another state and is very very busy so we hardly ever get to talk. I was in a shitty mood (stupid boy problems) and Ive always felt he was a good person to complain too. So I tell him whats up and how crappy I feel...
Him: Well, you cant be doing as bad as me.
Me: Whats wrong?
Him: My fiance called off the wedding and left me.
Me: ooh.. sorry...
How the hell do you resond to that??! needless to say my I felt silly for blabbering on about my stupid problems.
I was talking another friend of mine and she had a similar situation with a guy shes been seeing. Apparently this guy is about the be evicted from his apartment and both of his parents are ill. She didnt know how to respond either! Just "oh.. sorry."
What do you say in those situations? Any suggestions?
