There's a woman whom I try to avoid sometimes at lunch. Many days, all she can talk about is what a "pig" she is because she ate a lot the night before, how disgusting the sheer amount of food intake. She rarely brings lunch because she claims she's not hungry during the day and eats a lot at night. According to her, she gained weight since she started teaching. So apparently, she's a size 8 instead of size 4 (by my estimations)! Guess she should kill herself now. And if she dare eats a candy bar or piece of cake in front of everyone, she constantly apologizes. I hate this mea culpa over food. I don't care, and I doubt anyone else does.

I try to eat in front of her when I am there, because I'm very fat and it's a bit subversive to see someone my size not apologize for what they have for lunch. But is there anyway (in a polite, non confrontational manner) to address this constant speech. Her words make everyone else have to explain their entire contents of lunch, as a way to almost placate her!
