I was on the Conan O'Brien Show the other night and ol' Conan sez, "So Les, tell us about your humble beginnings--as an artist I mean".
So I tell him, "Better yet, lemme just say it in pictures--y'know?".
So I proceed to pull out these these two dusty old drawings I did waaay back in my high school days at Berkeley High with the R. Crumb-looking ink job and crass sterotypes and I says to Conan, "Conan, these ARE my humble beginnings".
And then Conan looks at the art and sez, "So...uh...who's B. Clarke?".
Or did this conversation happen on the Letterman Show?
