I've put a few profiles on some different dating sites over the years (FA/BBW and non-FA/BBW) from either curiosity or just acknowledging the fact that I'm not an average person whether FA or not.

Lately I've been getting a lot of notices, winks, flirts, messages, whatever. It's nice but they all pretty much seem to have the same thing in common: they have nothing in common with me. And while there's a possibility that I might be being picky, I don't think that's quite it. Some of the girls that have contacted me just completely baffle me even when you take 'opposites attract' into consideration.

I put in my profile specific details and descriptions of me and then it seems like they go and completely ignore it, or just see a cute face (their words not mine ) and shell out some money. None of these really seem to think much through. For example, the majority of them have profiles that go on about how much they love Jesus/God and that 'their man' must too. I've put that I'm an atheist multiple times in profiles in response to this, but they still keep coming in. Hello??? Surely you know what an atheist is, we're the devil your pastor was talking about.;) And then girls from at least a continent away, when I said I'm not interested in Long-Distance Relationships. There's just been all kinds of weirdness. And some of them are actually paying to do this. I kinda expect behavior like that from guys, but women?

I don't expect my perfect match to be presented to me instantly, but some of the responses completely baffle me. Does anyone understand this or have similar experiences??? Because I seriously don't get it.
