SO about 6 months ago I moved in with my BF, and have been looking for a job since. I have applied to most office style jobs, and had only a few interviews, some went well, and there were people who were just better qualified than myself, some I felt that maybe my size was an issue.
So, I posted an ad on my local Craigs list, as a babysitter, figuring maybe even a few hours a week would give me a lil money, and I received a few emails, one was looking for a full time nanny. I emailed her back
I had an interview this past Saturday. The people were SO very nice, they made me feel so very comfortable. They were new parents to a baby girl they adopted 12 days earlier. The day she was born. After spending a great deal of time there with them , the baby, and their 2 dogs, I went home, feeling good that even if I didnt get the job, at least I met nice people.
After calling my refrences, the mother called me Monday night, and told me they would just LOVE to have me be the nanny.
So my new job is caring for a little 16 day old baby, I start next Wednesay. The pay is wonderful, they are giving me 4 weeks paid vacation, 3 that they take specified, and one of my choice, all holidays off paid, and a raise in 30 days.
I feel so happy to have gotten this job, Nothing is better than waking up and going to a job you like every day, i cant wait to start!!
