I'm not entirely sure this belongs on the weight board, but it deals with fantasy weight gain so here goes. I've wanted to gain some weight, about twenty pounds or so (enough to bring me to 170 and give me a nice sized belly). However at the same time I'm well aware that high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease (to a lesser extent) run in my family. My mother is already worried about me as I have a little bit of a pot belly and I can't shake the feeling that I might regret any fantasy weight gain. I need help figuring out which is more important, fantasy weight gain or denying myself the food I love in the hopes I will stay healthy in thirty years. Its worth noting that several of my family members with health problems smoked heavily and few exercise, while I exercise as daily where possible, try to minimize salt intake and don't smoke.
