...and if anyone can help me find it, I'd be most appreciative!

It is a story about a relationship between a small girl and a larger guy, whose family is all larger(especially the mother), and the girl begins eating enormous portions to match her partner and thus gains a lot of weight. The boyfriend encourages this weight gain, and they get married.

That's about all I can remember... If anyone has any suggestions, please help! Thank you!
