Hello guys. I have something to say that is a very big deal for me to even type. I figured that the lounge would be the place to post this because it's "off-topic" (mods, if you want to move it, feel free).

I have bulimia. There. I said it. I've gotten to the point where I'm sick of having a "sore throat" from puking. I've gotten to the point where I am worried about really hurting myself. I've gotten to the point where I'm sick of feeling dizzy after vomiting. I've gotten to the point where I'm sick of the nervously out of control feeling I get when I binge.

I used to only binge and purge very rarely. Over the past year it has gotten more and more frequent, and now it's almost every day. I got a self-help workbook today, and I am looking in to therapists that are low cost and can help me.

I am posting this as a way of acknowledging to myself that I have a problem, and I need help. It always seems more real when you put something in writing. I have managed to hide this from my friends, family, roommate, and boyfriend. I do not know how or when or if I'll tell them.

I know there are other survivors of eating disorders on this board. If you guys have any tips, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks all for your support.
