Let's just get this out of the way: I'm clumsy. The end.
About a week ago I slipped on a rainy stair and slammed down on my butt. Ouch, yes, but at the time I sort of gathered my pride and moved on. I'm a stoic "i'm fine" kind of chick.
Well since then it has been unbelievably painful. If I'm sitting I have to lean forward (which looks stupid) so that I'm not directly on my tailbone, and if I'm lying down I have to be on my side. Walking for any length of time results in me wincing and limping.
Back story: about two years ago I fell backwards off a retaining wall and dropped 5 feet onto concrete, getting lovely hairline fractures in my tailbone *and* my skull. That accident was one bad mofo. It took a very long time to heal from that, and I'm wondering if my tailbone could be more fragile because of that.
Last week's fall shouldn't still be hurting me, but it's not getting any better. Now, I have to be honest with you that it's unlikely that I'll see a doctor for this, so saying "omg go to a doctor" will fall on the deaf ears. BUT I'd like to hear anyone else's ass-busting story. I'm not asking for medical advice, just anecdotal stuff. Is it usual for it to be sensitive this long afterward?
Is there anything you would suggest doing short of strapping pillows to my ass and being f**cking careful??
