Well I just got myself a new job. And I love love love it. It is in a "sex shop" ie an adult store. We sell toys, lingerie, costumes, dvds etc.

Everything is going well so far, staff lovely, pay good, hours good.

BUT the customers...they CAN be (not all of them I stress) a little odd.

And I have coped with it well so far except for today.

I got a customer, a middle aged man who was in the shop for ages. My boss nipped out and he approached me and asked what size my boobs were. I laughed and said "What? Oh I dunno just whatever fits me ha ha", he then asked me what size bra I had on that day.....

I just laughed it off again, he bought some things and then left.

But it has shook me up a bit. He wasnt being funny, he was being creepy. What should I have said? How do u handle something like this? My boss said I just should have told him to mind his own, piss off and that he was barred lol, we don't take crap like that. Its not what we are there for. My shop is a lovely upmarket type shop, not a sleazy dirty mac type of shop lol so hopefully I wont have to deal with this too much.
But how do I become more assertive?!

How would you have handled it?
