and I was standing in front of my vanity in my underwear. I stopped putting on my deoderant and took a good look in the mirror (something I hadnt done in a loooong time) and I was happy with what I saw! My inital thought was "I kinda look like one of them pasysite girlies."
So, I got dressed and went to work.
Now, I work with 9 other people, 8 of them are women. We are always having girly conversations (poor Jake is only 17 years old and hes surrounded by all this estrogen!), a lot of the times its about weight and dieting. I told the ladies i was working with yesterday, that i looked in the mirror and liked what I saw. They were so happy for me, but they didnt get the hint that maybe they should do the same. One of them started talking about how she did 2 hours on the treadmill, an hour on the stationary bike and 100 sit-ups before work that morning. She also said she bought a scale and has started weighing herself everyday, and keeping track of her weight in a notebook. She never brings lunch, and never touches any of the treats we have (and trust me, we are constantly surrounded by treats. Our customers LOVE us and are always giving us cakes, cookies and candy).
Sometimes I just wanna yell at her. Shes fun and great to work with, she has an awesome personality, but dammit, EAT SOMETHING!! Even my boss yells at her for not bring food to eat during our 8+ hour shifts.
grr.
wow, did I ever digress!
