from Orlando.
Not going to post a really long post, but just the highlights, which included
1. Meeting Shawn Bakken from Beauty and the Geek Season 1 and hearing him speak and getting my picture taken with him! AND Tina, I was wearing my Fat: The New Sexy (sorry, can't leave out the colon in written form) t-shirt at the time. Got several compliments on it as I roamed the parks. Shawn is a good speaker - very articulate and funny.
2. Hearing Tarek from The Apprentice speak. I actually preferred Shawn's speech, but Tarek was interesting also.
3. Going to the comedy club on Pleasure Island - I love improv and hate "blue" comedy so this was a treat for me.
4. Kissing and swimming with a dolphin at Discovery Cove. Feeding birds in the aviary.
5. Talking to an actual young, cute guy for an hour, and not for work, even. I have witnesses! He wrote me a note too - it was adorable.
Proof that God hates me - we were talking 4 hours before I had to go swim with the dolphins, after which I had to leave immediately because I mistakenly booked a ticket to Fort Lauderdale (to which they have NOT moved WDW) and had to drive back and forth.
Anyway, I will be happy to answer any questions about Discovery Cove, WDW or Orlando in general.
I would advise not going in August, but I survived.
Pictures coming sometime.
