For the first time, I'm going to be making the family Thanksgiving meal. My mom and I are a piece of cake to cook for (p.i.) because we adore all kinds of food. My sister in law, on the other hand, is picky picky picky. So I've decided to use traditional thanksgiving fare in not-so-traditional ways. For instance, instead of cranberry sauce, which she will not eat because she likes cranberries but not in sauce form, I thought of making a Cranberry Pudding Cake. The thing is, she doesn't like *most* traditional holiday fare. She will eat turkey so long as she doesn't have to actually see it being carved (she likes to forget she's eating an animal). So I'm at a bit of a loss. I want to make something warm and hearty, something to express the warmth and love I feel for my family as well as the thanks we give for what we do have, and I'd like to try to not stray too far from tradition, but I'd also like her to be able to enjoy the meal for once.

Any suggestions for recipes or presentation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)
