This is my 666th post. Metal seems fitting.
1. Anyone know what happened to Loves.Metal? I miss talking musics with her. Also Esther, but she wasn't metal....or was she too metal???
2. Amon Amarth: Great live band, or greatest live band ever? Evidence: they did a tour here in the US recently where they opened for themselves - one full hour set of previous songs, one full set of their new album. Amon Amarth is what you'd get if Henry Rollins stopped being a pretentious wannabe political analyst and embraced songs about obscure eddas on valkyrie tactics. And if Black Flag were more technically proficient.
3. I'm convinced 70% of all AC/DC songs are the same song with different lyrics. This is the inverse of the first two Rancid albums, which were mostly the same lyrics but with different music.
4. Is Wacken and similar Euro metal festivals in the Germanic and Scandinavian land accepted grounds for seeking political asylum? In Poland?
5. What are hessians called in Germany? Is it some random thing like "Missourians"?
