Should I put a fish to death so my cat can have a better life?

  • Yes! Kill, kill, kill!

  • No! How terrible!

So at the store where I work, we sell .29 fish. My cat, a housecat, has never killed ANYTHING. She has tons of toys, but even during her outside time, she has never been lucky enough to kill anything. She would be such an amazing hunter. I have considered purchasing her a fish, and putting it in a shallow pan of water so she can experience hunting. My friends and family think this is horrific, but I know she'd love it. I also don't know if she'd even bother and I'd have to end up caring for it, or if she'd halfway do it and I'd have to finish her dirty deed.
