At the beginning of this year I lost a bit of weight but then when I went to Venezuela I gained most of it back and then when I came back to Australia I gained even more because all the eating habits I had in Venezuela stayed with me.

What I found interesting was during that time, a couple of my closest friends had lost weight and so I got thinking about something someone told me a long time ago about how there is a kind of unwritten equilibrium between close friends where when one or two start losing weight, another will start gaining weight. This particularly hit me when I realised I was matching one particular friend kg for kg... every time she'd lose 1 or 2, I'd gain 1 or 2.

Not that I mind since I enjoy eating all the food that I do, I'm quite happy to take up the slack (or the fat in this case).

Just wondering if this is something that has happened to others.
