I have heard a great number of people on here and on the tv/radio say that we support Israel because they are the favored people of God. If I am not mistaken didn't the Jews reject Jesus and have him put to death ? And didn't God open the way for people of any race to become a follower of him ? Did He not also allow Jerusalem to be destroyed in 70 CE along with the second temple thereby showing he had removed Israels favored position ?
It just seems to me that part of being a christian is that Israel doesn't have a special relationship anymore due to their actions. Jews are not cursed or anything but must practice christianity to attain the salvation of the new Testament.
