I'll try to keep this from getting tl;dr.

Well, I'm not one to wear jeans usually. I'm more of a khakis type person. I had one pair of jeans that I bought in, I believe, the 7th grade that finally wore out a couple months ago. People kept pressuring me to wear jeans because they're "cooler," so a couple years ago I ordered a couple pairs from lane bryant online and also roamans, but they looked horrendous on me because of my body makeup. It's hard to explain, really, but I suspect men's jeans might suit me a little better.

I'm in a band and we've got some gigs coming up, so we were talking about uniformity. They decided on red shirts, which I hate, but that's another matter entirely. For bottomwear, they decided we'd look best in jeans. Not just any jeans, but dark blue in color, must have belt loops because we'll be wearing belts (which I hate as well), and they can't be too tight because we're the modest sort and they're afraid of "showin' what we're workin' with." In women's I wear about a 32 or 34, and the men's khakis I have on right now are a 64X22.

I don't think I have time to order any online because there's the possibility they won't fit and I wouldn't have enough time to send them back before the 1st gig. Also, they'll probably have to have alterations done, so the quicker I buy them and get them in for hemming, the better. There are basically two stores that carry big ppl's clothes around these parts. One is the Big & Tall store, where I got the pants I'm currently wearing. It's a good 1:45 drive. The other store is Catherines, which is about a 1:15 drive.

So, my questions specifically, have any of you lovely ladies had luck with Catherines or Big & Tall jeans and do they carry the sorts of jeans I've described above. Will they have my sizes? What are the prices like? I'd hate to drive to one store just to have to turn around and go to the other, since they're a good 4 hours apart.
