Both Carter and Obama succeeded presidents that were disliked by the public. Both have been compared to JFK.
Both Carter and Obama were presidents when the economy went from bad to worst. Do the Republicans have a Ronald Reagan that can save the day? Strangely, Republicans, in the past, were hated by most in the main street press. Just as they are today.
The biggest difference is Carter actually did something before he was president. He was a peanut farmer and governor of the state of Georgia.
