Leather...fashionable or no?

I love leather...I have a leather jacket, wear leather shoes, and enjoy the way it stays cool on hot days, and warm on cold days.

So...is it fashionable to wear leather? What is okay to have in leather, what isn't? What is good about leather? What's the down side? What do you have/wear that's leather? Do you prefer pleather?
