I almost put this under "products you love", but it's more of a fit here. A tad obscure as fat fashions go, so consider this an overshare if you wish.
I've been on a search for green leather gloves for forever... black gloves are a dime a dozen, as are brown. Red, burgundy, etc - easy to find. But try to find green! Not forest green - but a rich, kelly green. Impossible.
But I happened upon this Amazon seller, and there they were! The elusive kelly green gloves... and almost any other color you could think of:
Not terrifically cheap at $62 per pair, but for imported (from Italy!) silk-lined leather gloves - that's not a bad price. So I ordered. Odd sizing, I thought at first - most gloves go to a size 8, and these went up to 8-1/2. I don't have huge mits, but I thought I'd order the biggest just to be safe. For fit considerations, my hands are large, I usually wear a size 8, but my hands aren't very chubby, as fat girl hands go, that is.
They arrived quickly, and when I took them out of the package, I was disappointed. They looked so small! But, what the heck, I tried them on... wow! They fit like.... well, like a glove (heh... *snort*). The lining feels fantastic, too. It's not too thick, and it doesn't bunch up. And - something I've just noticed - long enough fingers! With some leather gloves, the fingers are too short, and it ends up feeling like my hands are webbed because the fingers don't fit to the knuckle joint (the few of you that are still reading at this point - does that make sense? lol). Another thing I liked - these gloves are very light - not a heavy winter leather. These can be worn almost all year round.
So there you have it... I'm sure no one else cares about these, but I'm going to order even another color! Purple? Maybe navy? Oooh - that aqua is divine! Whee!
