I pressed a link this morning off one of the posts here to listen to some music on YouTube and when it ended, there was this picture of a fat woman to the side of the screen. I pushed it because, well, she was a FAT woman. And low and behold, I discovered the Belle of the YouTube Ball, Lemonette. She's a southern woman, in her early 50's, who is doing a YouTube video blog, more or less. She's smart, she's funny, she's down-home and the people seem to love her. I ended up spending over an hour watching this woman talk about mundane things and making them interesting.
I wasn't sure where to put this, here or The Lounge. But since Lemonette is fat, I figured here might be a good place. After watching several of her videos and seeing people's reaction to her, I think she's a great example of how a fat person can be a "person" and not a caricature. Some here may disagree that she's not a joke. Decide for yourself.
So, if you haven't experienced the fat woman called Lemonette on YouTube yet, now's your chance ....

ETA: I recommend you start with page four - the last video there (the first one she put up) and work forward.
