Okay, so the Heartbeat Bill will essentially ban abortions as early as 18 days after conception. We're not going to talk about how abortions are wrong or not, we're not going to talk about religious theology, we're going to talk about Politicians being sneaky to meet their own ends.

Most women don't know they're even pregnant until they miss their period, which (and forgive me if I get this wrong) could be anywhere up to 28 days on average, long after the minimum proposed parameters of abortion legality have passed.

How can Politicians justify this bill knowing that? I'd like to point out again, this isn't about the morality of the abortion itself, but rather that they're proposing a bill that gives the illusion of choice but really works in favour of one option. For the continued use of 'freedom' or the lack of as a general purpose word for embedding positive and negative connotations in American Politics, how can people who champion this word honestly support a bill like this? Religious or ethical motivation aside, if you're going to claim to be a staunch advocate for freedom, you better fucking stick to your word.

But what do you guys think?
