Hey folks!
A handful of you folks know that I sing with the chorus that supports the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops Orchestra. Last Christmas season we did a TV taping with the Boston Pops with special guests performers Jose Feliciano and The New York Voices and the show is going to air on Saturday, December 16th on WBZ TV - Channel 4 from 7 - 9 pm. I might even get camera cameo air time so keep your eyes peeled for me in the background with my mouth wide open. Good stuff.
This year's Holiday TV taping with the pops will guest star The Bare Naked Ladies and I'm in that production too which begins on the 13th. Lucky me. It won't air till next year though so I'll probably announce the air time next year if I'm still livin'. I'll let you know when the taping is all over if it's worth waiting around for next Holiday season.
One more TV thingie: WGBH will broadcast "A POPS HOLIDAY PARTY" featuring Arthur Fiedler, John Williams, and Keith Lockhart leading three decades of Boston Pops Christmas favorites. I haven't seen it but it's possible that old footage of me in the chorus could be seen in this production too. Think of it as a 'Before and After,' or watch me age before your eyes on local television if you're into that sort of thing. The show will air on WGBH in Boston at 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 21; 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 23; and 11 p.m. on Sunday, December 24.
