Could be a love child, could be a rape child.
It was mentioned that there has been a discovery of "love child" that was the result of a meeting between a Homo sapien male and a Neanderthal female.
I have been trying to sort through the information that is coming out. It seems that when Homo sapiens first came out of Africa they went to the middle of Asia and stayed there for very long time before they started spreading east and west. I have read somewhere that about the time the spreading started the number of elderly people in Homo sapien society greatly increased.
It is possible that when Homo sapiens came out of Africa, in the Middle East there was some interbreeding with the Neanderthals. This would be a possible explanation for the 3 to 5% Neanderthal genetic material in modern European humans. One thing that should be investigated is whether or not during the time the Homo sapiens were in Asia further genetic change occurred so that Homo sapiens Neanderthal matings could produce children but that those children, like mules, could not further interbreed.
There is also the recent discovery of this third type of prehuman in addition to the small humans that died out about 12,000 years ago in Indonesia. How all of this fits in is a very complex puzzle that is very slowly being untangled.
