I felt a bit shy about posting this as I don't like my feet, but I am so pathetically happy that I decided to brave it! I have big, very wide and fat feet and yes the cankle thing happening too. I also have a VERY high instep. All of this means I have a terrible time finding anything to fit, never mind anything nice, and boots are just....ugh. My feet I think are probably more than 4E in places, and in fact I measured them. I am UK size 8, which I think is around US 10.5 or 11? Over the part of my foot where its widest and is hidden inside the sandal, it measures 11.4 inches around, and the skinniest part of my ankle is 12.4 inches.
I was ordering some clothes in a catalogue clearance sale and actually ordered a different pair of leather wedge sandals that looked like they might fit. i only ordered these sandals below because they were in a sale for £15 ($30) and they looked so cute and claimed to be EEE width. Well, the leather ones fit my foot in but cut in so painfully to my upper foot that I dumped them back in box in disgust. Then I tried these on and couldn't believe it, they fit!!!! And added to that, they even buckled comfortably on the last hole! Yes my foot bulges over a bit, thats just my fat feet, they actually don't dig in at all, they are unbelievably comfortable! The wedge (about 3 1/2 inches high) makes them sooo nice to walk in, very easy indeed. My son thought I was nuts as I wore them all evening round the house!
I know I've rambled but here in the UK it's a nightmare to find anything that fits me, and so to find something so pretty that fits and is within my budget to boot, I'm just over the moon! I have hardly any footwear and I :wubu: these! I'm trying not to be too pissed at the fact that they come in fuschia too but are sold out in the EEE!
