I wonder if it is possible, after gaining weight (unintentionally) for years maintain their high weight not gain more. Here is my question using this example: lets say a person who was always large began to really put on weight when they were 20 and by age 35 had reached a very high weight (lets say 450 lbs). Now if this person had never been able to lower their weight without gaining back the pounds plus a few more is is it possible that such a hypothetical person work to maintain such a high weight (450 lbs) so as not gain any more weight? Is it possible to maintain a very high weight over 400 lbs without gaining more weight?

Has anyone who has been gaining (unintentionally) over the years, unable to lower their weight, been able to stop the weight gain by intentionally working to maintain a without gaining or loosing?
