I have had major problems on my computer this week from being successfully (doh!) phished on my MySpace page...it appears to be this issue here:
http://www.macnn.com/articles/07/03/20/quicktime.trojan.horse
Trojan horse/worm kinda thing.
Despite doing cleans and changing passwords and installing some overdue updates (did I say doh?) I still can't navigate around MySpace--and others can't get to my MySpace page--without phishing weirdness, not to mention fitful spam bulletin broadcasts and other problems.
I'm takin down my MySpace page for now and may carefully re-do another one later, but the main thing I wanted to note was that if you have a Mac, be careful! I shoulda realized what was happening here, but it's still a fairly easy trap to walk into. Make sure the link you are clicking to within their site is still a MySpace.com address--in my case I keep getting redirected to a page that kinda looks like a MySpace page, but the url is actually:
http://www.dsadsaddd.br.gd/
If it keeps asking you for your password even after you've logged in, stop! Check the URL! Don't keep entering it, cause that's how the problem starts/the phishing succeeds.
I mention this too since it's easy to get lulled into false sense of security with a Mac!
p.s. my page was myspace.com/erizabeta; it's going to take 48 hrs to come down, they say.
