So, I need a break from studying for my exams, and my *shudder* roommate is away (silent cheer!)...so I decided that I would spend a few hours this evening cooking up a delicious dinner for myself.

I decided to attempt homemade ravioli, something I've always wanted to try. So far, I've made a filling out of portabella mushrooms, baby bella mushrooms, ricotta, an egg, a bit of blue cheese, and fresh basil. I bought some fresh pasta sheets, and the filling mix is currently chilling in the fridge (it tastes sooo good!). I admit that I wanted to try to make the pasta myself too, but I resorted to store bought sheets because I have to do *some* studying this evening!!!

Has anyone ever made fresh ravioli before? Do you have any tips for me?(I've seen it done on TV a few times, but I am really winging it...but hey, that's part of the fun, right?) What filling combos do you think would be delicious? If this turns out well, I think it would be fun to make them in advance and have my girlfriends over for some wine and gossip!
